Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for post-matric scholarships in Haryana, students must generally be a domicile of Haryana, belong to a specific eligible category (SC, BC, EWS, DNT, or Minority), have passed their matriculation or higher exam, and meet a specific annual family income limit. Specific conditions vary by the scheme the student is applying for (e.g., for SC, BC, or Minorities).
- Domicile: Must be a permanent resident (domicile) of Haryana.
- Caste/Category: Must belong to a Scheduled Caste (SC), Backward Class (BC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), De-notified and Nomadic Tribes (DNT), or Minority community, as specified by the respective scheme.
- Academics: Must have passed the Matriculation (Class 10) or Higher Secondary (Class 12) or any higher examination from a recognized university or board.
- Income Limit: The annual family income from all sources generally should not exceed ₹2.50 lakh per annum for most SC/BC/EWS schemes. For minority scholarships, the limit is typically ₹2.00 lakh per annum.
- Attendance: For most schemes, students must maintain a minimum attendance of 75%. Course: Must be studying a recognized post-matriculation or post-secondary course (Class 11 to PhD level) at a government or recognized private institution in India.
- Exclusivity: A scholarship holder under one scheme cannot hold any other scholarship or stipend simultaneously. The student must choose the more beneficial option.
- Family Limit: For some schemes, the scholarship is limited to a maximum of two male children per parent/guardian (this limit does not apply to female students).
- Application Process: Applications must be submitted online through the Har-Chhatravratti Portal or the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), and require a valid Parivar Pehchaan Patra (PPP).
